Today as we celebrate the Republic Day let us just remember

Our solders are always ready, scorching June or chilling December

When the frontiers of the country are safe with soldier on the guard

When they are ready to sacrifice anything, and hit the enemy hard

It is then that we, the rest of us, live peacefully, enjoy life and sleep

Behind our smiles are so many martrys, yet the families never weep

Even the small kids are keen to serve the country with all heart and soul

With freedom in their minds, with security and safety as the ultimate goal

We salute the people who gave up their lives to make this day a reality

The brave little kid also salutes, he is sure to have great personality
