The word widow has been a dreaded word in the recent past (not using the term ancient past since it was not so that long ago) as they were not supposed to remarry but just leave a life of isolation and desolation. Although times have changed drastically but still many parts of countries like India widows live nearly the same life. However the light has begun to reach even those parts and this is a welcome step in this direction.
