The Bhagwat Gita is one of the most important holy scriptures of Hindu religionGood deeds or karma. It consists of around seven hundred verses that were originally written in Sanskrit and is a part of the epic Mahabharata. Well there is a long story behind these verses. Pandava prince Arjuna had to fight his own brothers and elders in a battlefield. He was confused as to how he can raise these weapons against someone who is his own brother or uncle. This is exactly when Lord Krishna who was at that time the incarnation of Lord Vishnu (the creator of the universe) started telling him some philosophies that encouraged him to fight this war. Lord Krishna was riding the chariot that Arjuna was using in the battle. He told him that whatever Arjuna was doing is predefined and no force can change it. He is just the medium and nothing else. Lord Krishna’s encouragement and the explanations that he gave to Arjuna during this war were recorded as the Bhagwat Gita. After listening to Lord Krishna Arjuna decided to fight the war and he eventually one the same.
There are many universal truths are strong philosophies that were recorded in the Bhagwat Gita. The teachings are timeless. It says that whenever there is evil on earth a force is born to eradicate it. All of us have the strength to fight the wrong. Just that we need to find our strengths, it further states that the person who is doing wrong is definitely bad but so is the person who is accepting it. We all should fight back any wrong deeds that are done. Dharma that is good and order must be in place. Lord Krishna tells Arjuna that he is not fighting his own brothers instead he is fighting the evil and punishing the wrong doers. He also says that the soul is immortal it lives on what we leave behind is the mortal body. He tells Arjuna that you should not worry about the outcome you should just keep doing your deeds with sincerity and you will get the fruits of your hard work someday or the other or in some form or the other. Good deeds or karma makes a big difference to our lives. The deeds that we do will come back to us. If we do good then no one can harm us and vice versa. The teachings can inspire people to do the impossible. Lord Krishna further stated that all that is happening today was decided long back and was written no one can change it. You should learn to accept the way things are and perhaps this is what destiny is. Every man and woman is born to do a defined task and as soon as the task is over they have to die. This is the cycle of the world the eternal truth that no one can change. We have all come here to do our part and once we have finished the role that was assigned to us we have to leave this mortal world. You should have faith in god and in the religion this will give you the strength to fight all evil.
Unlike most Holy Scriptures the Bhagwat Gita was born in a battlefield that signifies death and sorrow which is quite unlikely and unholy. However, many believe that this war is a metaphor of the war that we fight every day. We all often face the dilemma of which path to take. Whatever we are doing we have to convince ourselves and are conscience that what we are doing is right. Almost every day we face this challenge from the time we are born. The friends we should make, the path we should follow, and everything is a choice. We are after all made up of whatever choices those we ever made r did not make. This religious scripture helps us as a guide to decide what is right and wrong. After all that is exactly what religion does show us the path? It is the guide to peace and harmony not only around us but also within us.
